Egypt Freed Activist Alaa Abdel Fattah on Regime’s Repression and State of the Revolution
Long-time activist Alaa Abdel Fattah was released from his latest detention last week, bailed after 115 days behind bars. He spoke to Democracy Now! on Sunday about his latest arrest, the July 2013 coup, the regime's crackdown on dissent and opposition, and the state of the Revolution, more than three years after the fall of Hosni Mubarak: They are on a sentencing frenzy. This is not just about me. It's almost as if it s a war on a whole generation.
