Steyer Takes Handoff From Washington Post More Evidence of Collaboration

To recap what by now is a familiar story: the Washington Post ran an article suggesting that Koch Industries would be the principal beneficiary of the Keystone Pipeline by virtue of its minor leasehold interest in Canadian tar sands-a complete fiction. I took the article apart here and here, pointing out, among many other things, that Keystone would actually be damaging to Koch s economic interests.

Hollywood doesn't do politics -- at least not politics as it is practiced in the real world. Have Our News Organizations Gone Crazy

I wrote here about MSNBC s campaign to tie the Koch brothers to George Zimmerman s shooting of Trayvon Martin. That effort was, it is fair to say, insane, but it apparently inspired one or more liberals to take MSNBC s theories a step farther. Someone wrote - I think it was on Facebook - that Koch Industries had paid for Zimmerman's legal defense and/or put up his bail money. Other liberals happily repeated the claim, to the point where Snopes deemed it a rumor worth addressing.

"Mitt Romney said today he's "the ideal candidate" for the Tea Party movement because his stance on issues lines up "pretty darn well" with the movement he says will soon realize that GOP frontrunner Newt Gingrich isn t their best option for president." --- Romney was probably basing that on having recently received S.C. The burning of books is an uncivil and distasteful act no matter where and under what circumstances. Arab-Muslims committed this atrocity in and around the year 685 A.D., immediately after their invasion of Egypt. Many centuries' worth of pre-Islamic Egyptian and Coptic information was eradicated, leaving great gaps in history and causing many unanswered questions concerning Coptic links to Egypt's past.

Reagan’s Growth Lesson for Obama

The difference in the Obama and Reagan policy approaches stems from diametrically opposed economic philosophies, which in turn stem from different life experiences: Mr. Reagan spent 34 years in the private sector, including time as the head of a labor union, prior to becoming governor of California in 1966. But Mr. Obama spent only his first year out of college in the private sector -- during which he wrote his mother that he felt as though he had "joined the enemy" -- before heading into non-profit "community organizing," a vacuous descriptor of an undefined profession involving political activism in which the main pursuit consists of procuring redistributive transfer payments from government.

Moreover, most "poor" Americans get the medical care they need, and they eat enough -- in fact, they eat too much.
