The commander of Iran's Revolutionary Guards force (IRGC) general Mohammad Ali Jaafari told reporters last week, "The mission of the Ghods Force is external, to help Islamic movements, to expand the revolution and to provide assistance to suffering people across the world and to people who need help in such countries as Lebanon, Syria and Iraq. The Guards help the Ghods Force. It views its duty to support and defend the nations under the hegemony of America and Israel and to provide them any technology, something that is even more important than the transfer of weapons. We have announced this in the past and are fulfilling this, and will respond to questions on these anywhere."

As the fourth round of nuclear talks between Iran and the P5+1 major world powers stalled in Vienna last week, the White House issued a warning that time was not limitless and a senior cabinet minister in Ahmadinejad s administration revealed that the nuclear program cost the country some $160 billion Dollars annually. These and other developments have cast a shadow of doubt on the success of the talks and informed sources have leaked that the differences are over Iran s military programs.

We all know that many men and women have been the victims of the excesses of the first decade of the life of the Islamic republic in the 1980s. They learned of the regime and its nature through the horrendous and frightful excesses and transgressions of people like Evin Prison s butcher Lajevardi and "brother Hamid." And despite the passage of two decades, these victims continue to suffer from the pain that was inflicted on them and their soul then. This pain manifests itself and even explodes with the slightest trigger. It oozes out pain and suffering, and in some cases throws itself on the walls of Ward 350 of Evin Prison today. This is the place where torture, beatings and violence of all forms rules. The perpetrators of this violence are the "brothers" and pseudo religious men who have not been quenched even after their thirty plus years of blood sucking.

Just one day after Iran s president Hassan Rouhani made a comment about the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC), a senior commander of the force responded by saying, "The guards do not invest in any political personality or group, but it is natural that if some individuals distance themselves from the line of the Imam (Khomeini), the supreme leader or the identity of the revolution, the Guards will have an issue with them."

The kidnapping of five Iranian border guards by Jeish al-Adl, the execution of one of them the release of the remaining four because of the efforts of cleric Molavi AbdolHamid, the Sunni Friday prayer leader of the border town of Zahedan and other local clerics made me pursue an interview with Abdol Raoof Righi, the spokesman of the group. He said that the group released the remaining guards without its demands because of the stature that AbdolHamid and other Sunni clerics enjoyed among the locals.
