In the U.S., the cost of healthcare is 4 times higher than other countries, We can easily pay for medicare for all
By comparing the cost of procedures in the US to other industrialized countries like Australia,UK, France, New Zealand, Netherlands we find that health insurers pay much more for hospital care. Medicare for all will put us on par with other countries, save every citizen money and make the market place more competitive.
Trump tax cuts grew 500 Richest People wealth by 25% this year
The 500 wealthiest People held a networth of 5.9 trillion dollars, collectively up by 1.2 trillion over this year alone. In other words the wealth of the richest grew simply because of Trump's tax policy. The rich here got richer while the middle class wages have largely stagnated for decades. This should be proof enough that trickle down economics is a hoax. It is certainly not right for tax policy to enrich people. This a a great example of Republican Socialism.
Trump promised to drain the swamp, his administration colludes with ultra right organizations
Trump has assembled a group of extremist to assault our system of government and education. Betsy Devos is an extremist christian ideologue who is assaulting our education system and using her money to have them promote her agenda. We need a government that works for the people and not the special interest.
They say the rich give to charity, this post says some just pretend and hide their money
Trickle down economics is a fantasy. Here we learn that the founder of google is skipping on his charitable donations which is required by law. We learn that the Larry Page foundation finds accounting gimmicks to pretend they are giving to charity while they park their money. We need structural change to fix our economy and our society.
Trump tax policy benefits hi earning families and hurts lo income families
These 91 Fortune 500 companies didn’t pay federal taxes in 2018
Trump promised Jobs, he has failed to deliver
Donald Trump promised to bring jobs back to America and revive manufacturing jobs in Midwestern states. His trade polices have had the opposite effects. This is a clear indication that Trump's policies have benefited the one percent, instead of the 99 percent. Voter's need to be reminded that when economy really breaks down because of Trump's policies he will not be able to rescue us from disaster like Obama did?
Trump wants to end life saving disability benefits for hundreds of thousands of citizens
First republicans cut taxes for the rich and corporations and now in search of revenue they are looking to cut social security benefits for current and future beneficiaries. This is going to result in thousands dying, as they did under Reagan when he did the same thing and then had to reverse it. We can't afford four more years of Trump.
Low unemployment is misleading and not a sign of a strong economy
Federal reserve and the Trump white house have been pointing to the low unemployment to signal a strong economy, they were wrong. In their unemployment numbers they don't count people who have dropped out and have not found a job for 7 months or longer. Furthermore the wages, which usually go up in a strong job market have been stagnant. The economy is not as great as the politicians want you to believe.
When we get 43 million working poor in a country, it means our economy is not booming
Government finds money to rebuild Afghanistan, but not America
Stock Market is not an indication that the economy is strong for average americans
The stock market is not a measure if economic success for the majority of Americans. So when Trump boasts of the stock market as a success is an indication that he is not aware of middle class struggles in our country. For the same reason 64% of the people reported that they felt worse or no better since Trump was elected.
Finland is a great example of Democratic Socialism where capitalism soars!
Finland is a good example of what 'Democratic Socialism" will look like. We get great health care without the paper work and equal in quality, we pay $300 a month for excellent child care, and child will get great K-12 education at no cost, regardless of the neighborhood we live in, and today Finland is one of the world's wealthiest societies with hugely successful global companies.
Trump’s E.P.A. is polluting our water supply by eliminating science
In order to boost profits for his donors and mega corporations, Trump is limiting scientific research that government uses to determine public health regulations. They use misleading language to advance their causes. These rules will effect all of our livelihood. Trump and his administration are not on our side.
Ice melting means coastlines are in danger and its happening now
Climate change translates into rising seas, stronger storms and this results into vanishing coastlines. The Iles-De-La-Madeleine island in Quebec has been warmed at twice the world average at 2.3 degrees celsius since the 19th century. What we are experiencing on this island will happen all around us. To claim that we have been warned since 1970 and dooms day has not arrived, simply demonstrates and uneducated opinion.
Slashing Military budget by reducing war spending will pay for Medicare for all without raising taxes
Some of the climate change consequences are not apparent but they are happening
Saltwater is killing off woodlands all along the mid-Atlantic coast, sometimes surprisingly far from the sea. This is all a consequence of melting ice and rising sea waters. Climate change effects will cascade and men will not be able to cope. It will cost way more than what we have to do now to reverse the trend. This report here is talking about areas on NY, NJ, Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina, close to home!
We Need Biodiversity-Based Agriculture to Solve the Climate Crisis
Man is not equipped to deal with the rapid changes in climate change
Rapid and massive flooding of urban areas will only get worse with Climate Change. Houston is a prime example. The passed new building codes and budgeted billions for flood control in 2017. Tropical storm Imelda which hit 2 weeks ago shows that their efforts have not helped much. Houston has experienced one 500 year flood and 2 one hundred year flood since 2016. The cost of inaction or slow action will be much more. We need structural change.
Trump needs Putin’s approval to release transcripts of their conversation say Kremlin
Corporate ownership of Media is hurting our democracy
Trump’s rollback of regulations means more people will die
We elect our representatives to protect us from harm and not work in the interest of fossil fuel industry and other big businesses.. Trump and his administration have rolled back, or are in the process of rolling back more than 80 environmental rules often without notifying the public. These role back could lead to thousands of extra deaths from poor air quality. #VoteBlue
Conservative ideology to cut the budget to boost the economy is a failure. Alaska is proof
Here is a perfect example of how conservative ideology fails in the real world. Mike Dunleavy governor of Alaska tried to enact his small-government-conservative ideology in a deep red state and people revolted and have gathered signatures to recall him. The reason is that their ideas of no income tax and dividend worked as long as oil was profitable. Once that revenue dired down, they started cutting state spending which made people rise against him.
GOP protects white supremacist and blames mass shooting on Democrats
Trump makes it easy for polluters to dump poison in our water supply
Protecting our environment should not be a partisan issue. We all have to drink our waters. No amount of profit justifies endangering citizens lives. Conservative judges and a republican executive are legislating from the bench and harming our existence. Is Flynt Michigan an acceptable scenario for us?
‘Climate change will result in mass migrations

Trump boosted the economy for the rich by doubling the US deficit
Democratic Socialism works – Equality leads to happiness and stability in society
In a healthy society, people feel like they have a fair chance at success, while they are protected from the worse life can deliver. In Social Democratic countries people are happier and more satisfied than the united states that ranks 37th. The question is what are our values! If people voted their interest in this country we would get structural change in this country.
NY progressives defeated Amazon in favor of workers, Voting matters!
Electing representatives that stand up for our rights will help us build a stronger and more equitable society. Your vote matters, and your activism matters. Local leaders who are not bought by corporate interest can help lead people where media and false narratives may persuade people initially to go against their interest.
Extreme Republican ideology doesn’t believe in compassion and altruism
Koch Brothers, tea party republicans have been promoting a narrow ideology that was the cause of the great depression and is based on greed and narcissism. They believe that everyone is driven by self interest and don't believe in human compassion. They believe that only the rich need protection for their property. Is this a world we want to live in? We have seen this movie in history before. This is another from of totalitarianism.
Under Trump the deficit has doubled – He doesn’t know how to manage the economy
We need to make sure people we elect understand how government and economy works. We learn from this article that Trump wants to reduce the deficit, without touching programs like medicare, or cutting military spending, while he wants to build infrastructure. Republicans are conflicted because their rhetoric doesn't meet reality.

The Recovery was only for the rich and not the middle class
Greedy Koch Brothers Killing Public Transit Projects Around the Country to maximize their own profits
Trump wants socialism for the rich, while cutting children’s healthcare services

US had a strong middle class when the wealthy and corporation were taxed fairly, The GOP plan crushes the middle class
The American Middle class was created by FDR post world war II by giving power to the workers and income tax rates of 70% or more on wealthy individuals and high taxes on corporate profits. Despite this policy median income doubled in the 3 decades after world war II. Protecting the middle class works for the economy and the country.
We have Spent $5.6 Trillion on War Since 9/1, we need to change our priorities
Lets educate our children instead of funneling money to religious charter schools
Voucher schools are taking public dollars to turn charter schools which are under state control into private schools that operate independently. The problem is that under betsy Devos many of these private schools are religious schools. Studies show that private school students are performing worse in math and reading compared to public schools. Education is the foundation of an advanced society and we need to fund education that works. Education is a cornerstone of a better life.
Student debt is bad for the future of America
For profit education systems hurt poor children – Michigan is a case study
Certain services in our society need to be focused on providing services, instead of driving profits. Education is one of them. Putting poor children at a disadvantage because of their economic plight harms the entire society. We need local officials in control of education and provide them with the resources they need to do their jobs.
Kansas tried Trump style tax cuts – They failed
If we don't learn from history we are doomed to repeat it. Prior to Trump's tax cuts, the Republican governor Sam Brownback, with the help of the go-to guru of "Supply Side economics" since the Reagan era, Arthur Laffer introduced huge tax cuts to boost the economy. Today the state is out of money and residents are angry.
We can’t let a few rich ideologues dictate how the rest of us live
If we want to live in a democracy, we need transparency and fair elections. Today a few billionaires fund conservative organizations to work against the will and interest of the people. In this post we learn about Bradley foundation that funds school choice, which diverts public funds to religious schools which is against the constitution.
Obama promised us hope and sided with Wall Street – We need to learn from that
History tells us all about Trump and his style of leadership
If we don't learn from history we are doomed to repeat it. The rise of populist around the world is not new. Every time life gets tough, populist strong men take advantage of people's vulnerabilities for their own short sighted gains! People with extreme views need to be reminded of the consequence of their beliefs. This post was written before Trump was elected and much of it is proven true by this point of Trump's presidency
‘Trickle-Down’ Economics does not work, income distribution will fuel growth
Trickle down economics which was the theory behind Regan, Bush and trump tax cuts and initially started as a Joke by Will Rogers in response to Herbert Hoover policies in the 1920's in response to depression era policies is rejected by IMF. They show that income distribution matters to growth and if we want growth we need to concentrate on empowering the lower 20%.
When we invest in poor communities, it pays off
A millionaire who grew up poor invested in a poor community in Florida and 21 years later, all children attending school graduate with honors, most go to college on full scholarships.Crime has plummeted and property values have risen. Free daycare elevates children in this community. Investing in our children and citizens creates a better world for all of us.
We have evidence that taxing the rich will grow the economy – Minnesota is our proof
Republicans suggest that taxing the rich, or increasing workers wages kills jobs and makes businesses leave the state. Minnesota governor Mark Dayton inherited a 6.2 billion dollar budget deficit and a 7% unemployment when he entered office in 2011 from his predecessor, Tim Pawlenty the Republican. He raised taxes on hi-income earners and raised minimum wage. By 2013 the economy was the 5th fasted growing economy, the ninth best state to do business with and more people entered the top tax rate and as of 2015 Minnesota has a 1 billion dollar budget surplus.
