Judge in SF blocks Trump rule ending fee exemptions for poor seeking citizenship
A federal judge in SF blocked the Trump administration Thursday from rolling back hardship waivers to the $725 fee for applying for U.S. citizenship. The plaintiffs said in court filings that the new rule “creates a wealth test for citizenship” and would prevent many legal residents from becoming naturalized U.S. citizens.
