Matthew Albence, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement official who once said that family immigrant detention was "more like summer camp," has been tapped by the Trump administration to head the agency, according to BuzzFeed.

Despite multiple court rulings that have blocked efforts by the Trump administration to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, several DACA recipients remain nervous about renewing their status, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Less than a week before he won Virginias gubernatorial election last November in an unexpected landslide, Gov. Ralph Northam was asked by Norfolk TV station WAVY if he would sign a bill to ban sanctuary cities in Virginia.
